Because of this shared commitment, United Way and Kellanova have partnered to support child hunger and other feeding programs in the United States and across the globe. For example, summertime can put added strain on low-income U.S. families whose children receive free and reduced-price lunch during the school year. For more than 5 years, Kellanova and its charitable fund have supported the expansion of summer meal programs in partnership with United Way.
United Way is also primary partner to Kellanova in supporting employee giving and volunteerism. Since 2015, company employees have volunteered over 106,000 hours in our communities around the world. And employees continue to give generously through the annual giving campaign.
United Way is a pivotal partner in helping to deliver Kellanova’s Better Days Promise social and environmental strategy, addressing the intersection of wellbeing, hunger, sustainability and equity, diversity and inclusion. Kellanova is committed to creating better days for 4 billion people by the end of 2030.
Together, Kellanova and United Way have already created better days for thousands of families and children, with a particular emphasis on the communities where we live and work around the world – and we’re just getting started.
